How to bring lawyer’s website top on google search?
Making a website is an easy task as compared with the above question. To bring your website top on google search is a skilled task called SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Here I would like to give some basic hint that you must have to implement along with your website that can help your website on google search positioning.
1) Add an appropriate title tag for your website
Let me give an example here. Imagine, I am a lawyer from Bangalore City and only specialized on divorce matters. Now, for my website I would like to the give the following title,
Divorce lawyers Bangalore | Family lawyers Bangalore
The above title has two key words,
a) Divorce lawyers Bangalore
b) Family lawyers Bangalore
You should limit the keywords to maximum of four and write the most relevant business related keywords first. To find the right keywords, you should act as a customer and think that what’s are the keywords customers use to find out a divorce lawyer.
2) Add an appropriate description tag for your website
You can write 2/3 sentences for your site description and it should summarize your business. Given an example,
“We are the best divorce lawyers in Bangalore who can support any family related matters, our family lawyers in Bangalore are capable to handle marriage, divorce, maintenance cases, section-498, etc”
If you carefully look at the above description you can see that I have added the title keywords inside the description,
“divorce lawyers in Bangalore” & ”family lawyers in Bangalore”
Also please note that I have added a word called “best” just before the keyword “divorce lawyers in Bangalore “, because people normally search with the word “best”.
This description will be visible in the google search and the description should attract customer to click and proceed.
3) Content inside the website
You should write a meaningful content related to your business in the home page which should contain the title keywords. Avoid copying contents from other websites, rather write few paragraphs about your business with the relevant keywords.
4) Include appropriate pictures & add ALT tags
You can add few light weight pictures to describe your business and each picture should have a meaningful ALT tag included. You can add the targeted keywords in those ALT tags.
5) Add heading tags if possible
Search engine algorithms put more weightage to your heading tags, you may add heading tags for your keywords.
For example, <h1>Divorce lawyers in Bangalore</h1>
6) Include related schema tags for Attorney
There are many schema tags available for Attorney, you may include those schema tags. For example,
<span itemprop=”itemListElement” itemscope itemtype=”http://schema.org/Attorney”><span itemprop=”legalName”> YOUR BUSINESS NAME </span></span>
7) Add your website in the google local ads
You should add your business in to the google local ads with the relevant keywords. So that on search of those keywords your local ads will be shown with your website name. Also please do make sure that your office is located in the google map.
8) Add google map in the contact page
You can add your office map in the contact page which should help clients to reach your office easily, also provide authenticity of your business to google.
9) Webmaster account for your website
You can create a webmaster account for your website which would help you to know the entire status of the site with respect to google search criterias. This would also give hint to google about your site authenticity.
10) Analytics account for your website
Google analytics can show you the site visitors detail. This would also give hint to google about your site authenticity.
11) Publish your website on different social media and other business related forums
You should publish your website in social media such as facebook, twitter, linkedin, google+, Pinterest, etc. Also you should promote your website in other related forums and news media. Please be careful on this item, as I said it should be on related forums where your business should match with the forum category. Never ever opt for other third party automated directory submissions services to promote your website as google algorithm can easily catch those submissions and penalize you.
